Last night was the screening for my movie I did for the 24 hour video race. It didn’t go well. The movie before mine screened with no audio! I felt so bad for that team. One of the members stood up in the screening and just started shouting out the lines of dialog so their movie made more sense, which was funny but I felt so bad.

It was very embarrassing all around. My film had slight male nudity in it and I didn’t think it was that odd until you see it on a 30ft screen. Thats a whole lot of naked man…. Also I personally was embarrassed becuase there is a scene in the movie where I’m in a movie theatre with another man on a date. I don’t think i’ll ever show this mess of a movie to anyone ever again. If you saw it yesterday at the Angelika tell me of your review.

Side Note: I didn’t get to pick the topic for our film, that was our team leader’s idea. I only ran audio for it making sure all the microphones where in the right place. Also it was ment to be a comedy, and it tanked when none of the audience was laughing… I should have slept in saturday and none shown up to the set….

Ok, I’ve been playing softball for nearly a month now, minus that first week and this last week…. So really I’ve played like 2 games of softball. And I do keep my glove in my car for those cases of when you need to throw down in the empty lot down the street with the rivial team. But last night I’m driving around, hanging out with J-Si and he finds a baseball rolling around the floor of my car. Where did that come from?

I don’t play baseball…
I don’t know anyone that plays baseball…
And more over, why haven’t I noticed it rolling around before now?

It’s like a great mystery for me. And I know this doesn’t sound like a great blog. And I could get into why J-Si and I were hanging out but it was just chillin’. Plus I imagine our rap song will be on the K-Pod soon so you guys will know what we were doing… I don’t wanna ruin my mad rhymes.

So, why I’m really writing this is I would love to read peoples stories about what is the weirdest thing you’ve found out of place? And did you ever figure out how it became to be so weird?

Finally I will be able to get into 24hr Video Race. I got a call last night from a friend who is short one on there teams and thought I would be a good addon. YAY!

What is a Video Race? Its simple, at midnight (actually 12:01am) you are given a list of task to include in your video. For the Dallas 24 Hour Video Race you must inlude the secret theme, phrase, location, and item. For others like the Mac Video Race you have 24 hours but its all online.

I’m so excited about it all. Do a youtube search to see what others have done… some are actually good. I want to know has anyone have any advice or done anything like this? I’m nervious.

Like I promised a Iron Man review update. I forgot to mention Jeff Bridges. Here you go:

So outside of the amazing preformance of Junior in the movie there is Jeff Bridges man. Lets just say he’s the dude. And all the while you’re watching the movie you’re thinking why did you go bald. What happen to the long hair and bath rob man. Now as cool as the robot fighting was it all could had been avoided by just giving back his rug man. Plus I think Ironman was fighting the wrong Lebowski man. The real enemy here is those Nihilist guys dude.

Thank you, I hope that made everyone smile…. Dude. Now go drink a white russian, if your responsible and over 21.

I got a call from someone that I haven’t heard anything from in a while. I’m glad I got that call. The last time I spoke to them I said some stuff that created a rift. And it seems what created the rift has changed and I’m glad. I never have been able to apologize to them for what I said. But I want to say here, I’m sorry. I’m glad I can have my friend back.

I know that all sounds vague, but this post is written to someone, not for the public. But for the majority (everyone minus one) of the people who read this I want to hear stories about how you and your friends have had rifts and how they have been resolved. I can only imagine what some people have had that would make my rift small.

PS… Tomorrows blog will be about Jeff Bridges becuase I forgot to include him in my Ironman Blog. I mean how can I forget the dude….. man.

Ok, I know its a day late. This is a post that should have happened yesterday but I hadn’t seen the movie yet. I finally got to see Iron Man yesterday afternoon. I was suppose to see it last Tuesday at a prescreening but that didn’t happen. Ok, here you go, my review.

REVIEW:
Didn’t suck at all. Infact this is what Transformers should have been. I mean here we have robots fighting and throwing down and I can actually make out the details on screen. In Transformers it felt like they were “wrestling” and all the action screens were blurry to hide that they didn’t actually know how to animate the fights. BUT! in Ironman you clearly see all the details and you really get into the action.

Never at any point do you feel like this is just another fight rehashed or that it climaxed to early like so many other action movies fall prey to. It had just the right build up to the epic ending. And I’m not talking about the end fight, I mean the build up to that which is Samual L. Jackson! I can’t wait to see Samual Jackson in a super hero movie. I mean imagine the attitude of Snakes on a Plane and the fighting skills of a Jedi!

Ok, so no lets talk about about Robert Downey Jr. He is amazing as a drunk ego driven man. I really bought his performance and I couldn’t imagine anyone else playing that role. Props to Robert Downey Jr.

So I can’t smell. Kinda. I don’t exactly have a strong since of smell. Its so bad that last week I caused an office offense by cooking garlic herbal chicken in the microwave and caused the whole building to come out to the kitchen and ban me from bringing my own lunch to work. The whole time the chicken was being nuked I didn’t even smell any of what my co-workers where talking about.

I say all this becuase yesterday I was at the mall (I love the apple store) and one of those market research firms where doing test on a new scent. As you can imagine I’m probably not the best person for the job but they didn’t need to know that. So they tell me to spray on this scent, Product 431. My first reaction to his was alarming. It stung my nose and made me tear up instantly. The researcher said “yeah, thats the response we’ve been getting alot of.” OMG!

So let me get this straight, some lab techs created this scent and smelled it themselves, got this reaction and still figured we need to do market research. I mean if I was one of these inventors I would have been curious and would have tried it out on myself first and made my way over to marketing to see if any of the ladies noticed. And I think if I got that reaction I wouldn’t exactly feel a need to subject that to other people.

I want to know what is your worst experience with testing products. I also want to know what are some of the microwave rules you have around your offices. (Besides no popcorn, thats standard now)
