I had one since I was 18 and did fine until I moved into my own apartment. The next thing I knew I had $1,000 on one card and then it went to $2,000 and then my 2nd credit card went to $1,000 and now i have about $5,000 between two cards. Each time I moved to a new place I put stuff on credit until this last move. Now my husband and I are trying to pay off at least one card and minimum payments on the others. It's a slippery slope.
