It has been a while
September 30, 2008 at 3:43 pm | In Uncategorized | 6 CommentsI’m sorry for not blogging lately. I haven’t really felt up to it and I don’t think my daily life is interesting, just sad. Most days we get off work around 1pm-ish and I then drive home and fall asleep at 2pm. And then I sleep for like the next 6-7 hours! I have turned nocturnal.
But the big news I have is that I quit World of Warcraft. I haven’t known how to tell people. So I figure I’d just give it all up… here is my characters name, server, everything…. you’ll notice I haven’t logged in since July 13.

I realize that I’m only a lvl 60. Thats apart of why I haven’t told anyone my toon’s name. I’m ashamed of being a 60 and in a few weeks I’ll be 20 lvls to low. So I quit.
The other part is I found myself logging in because I had an urge to do so, not a desire just an urge. I would log in wonder around in the game but not really do anything, I found it boring but just slightly better then doing nothing. Thats when I realized I need to fine another hobby. Tomorrow I’ll share that and I would greatly love some feedback here or on Kidd Nation.

That is just . . . so sad. Now I don’t feel as bad taking over a year in getting to 60. I’m a 70 now, but I’ve only accomplished that within that past 3 months and probably wouldn’t have done that without the guild needing a body to help. Apparently it’s been about 10 days since I’ve been on, but it feels much longer.

Hope you found something fun to do for your hobby.

Worry not. Lots of people go through times that seem just sad and blah. You should force yourself to be active during the days where you are out doing something. I recommend joining a gym. It will make you feel oh so hot and good about yourself. Plus you’ll be out there meeting people! I plan on doing it today.

Andrew, Andrew, Andrew… don’t be so hard on yourself. So you quit playing World of Warcraft, it isn’t that terrible. Is it? Perhaps, you are maturing & entering a new phase in your life. In the big scheme of things, games aren’t that important. Relationships with friends, family, and God are. Take this time to develop and understand who you are. Nicole is right… get involved in life. Join a gym or volunteer to be mentor, just find something you enjoy and do it. Life is so short, you need to find ways to make the most of each day. Trust me, I speak from experience. I also think time with a cougar would do you some good. Take care. Can’t wait to see what your new hobby is!

I’m glad you stopped playing b/c you wanted to and not b/c of all the smack talked about you playing games. I’m a proud owner of a PS3 and I play at least one game a day. I find it is a good stress reliever. Good luck with your search on a hobby.
The gym idea is a good one. I don’t have experience of meeting friends at the gym but I guess it happens. If anything, it’ll keep you fit.

Man, don’t give up on the world. You’re just on a chump server in a chump guild. If you ever make it back to the game, transfer to Agamaggan and look up Harem Girls Haven. I’ve got 10 70’s, have extensively beta tested WotLK, and I know my guild could rush you to 70 pretty fast (plus we actually have r/l females in our guild…not just the pretend ones). If you ever make it back to the game, look one of the guild up.

Aw that is a bummer but still I can understand. I have a level 70 and spent almost a year doing high end raid for 6 days a week from 6pm to 1 or 2 in the morning. It was wearing me thin. I did get alot of good armor but the process of getting it was not all the enjoyable specially when you have somone yelling at you and calling you names and all that so don’t feel like you missed anything. I quit for a year and recently went back for a week but it was not to my liking at all so I traded it up for Warhammer and you should check it out it rocks. On the Destruction side on a server called Drifting Castle is a guild called Oculus of Nex they are by far the best group of people you will ever meet and they make the game a complete blast. The content is also great and the enviroments make me all giddy inside as I am sure they would any gamer.
